A EUROPEAN court has reportedly ordered French authorities to answer questions about the car crash which killed Princess Diana.
The European Court of Human Rights had given the French Government until February 6 to explain, among other things, why it took so long for Diana to reach hospital and why her body was embalmed, Britain's Daily Express newspaper reported.
Mohamed al-Fayed, the father of Diana's boyfriend Dodi who also died in the August 1997 crash, said the ruling was a "massive breakthrough" and would help uncover the truth of what happened the night of the crash.
"This is what I have been striving for for the past eight years," he said.
Mr Al Fayed had petitioned the European Court arguing that relatives of the deceased had a legal right to a more thorough investigation.
