Moreover, Hamas provides desperately needed social services to thousands of Palestinians, services that will become even more crucial as Israel puts an economic choke hold on the territories. Of course, this acquiescence will never arrive, as exploited and oppressed people are wont to resist, and the Jabotinsky Likudites know it. The so-called election of Hamas is simply another step in the long process of arranging the political deck in such a way as to make palatable the eventual “transfer” (ethnic cleansing) of the Palestinians to their “real home” in Jordan, a project well-documented in Zionist literature. In the meantime, all Palestinians must be characterized as intransigent suicide bombers, supporters of Hamas, unworthy of a “partnership” with Israeli settlers who, after all, only want to get rid of them and take full possession of the land supposedly designated to them by a genocidal Old Testament God.
