Michael O'Leary, Ryanair's chief executive, said the service will allow passengers to use their cellphones and electronic communications devices, such as BlackBerrys, in the air. Passengers flying on Ryanair planes will be charged a roaming fee by their cellphone company. Ryanair will keep a portion of the fee. The service, provided by Geneva-based OnAir, will be introduced on the airline's Boeing 737 aircraft by the middle of 2007, pending regulatory approval.
