Amillia spent less than 22 weeks in the womb. She was just nine-and-a-half inches at birth and weighed less than 10 ounces. She now weighs about four-and-a-half pounds and is just over 15-and-a-half inches long. She'll still need oxygen at home. And a developmental specialist will be keeping track of her neurological progress. Doctors had hoped to release Amillia from the hospital yesterday, but kept her an extra day to monitor a low white blood cell count that could have indicated she's vulnerable to infection.
