One Thousand Years of Stability
Global Warming Memory Hole Part 1
19 September 2007
The history of any particular science, especially the popular ones, is an interesting thing to study because of the constantly changing logic and over or under emphasis of 'facts' to fit into a preconceived theory. These abuses are very revealing when trying to determine whether someone is genuinely trying to explain what is actually happening or is just trying to push a particular theory, whatever their motivations may be.
The greenhouse gas theory of global warming is a great example of this, mostly because of the huge money and political power behind it. Below is a small comparison between the 1994 (first edition) and the 2004 (third edition) of a book called Global Warming: The Complete Briefing. The author, Sir John Houghton, was the chairman of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Scientific Assessment Working Group from 1988-1992 and co-chairman from 1992-2002. Among many other things he was the President of the Royal Meteorological Society and Professor of Atmospheric Physics at Oxford University.

PNAC Revisited: The Future of Warfare
12 September 2007
Project for a New American Century's document entitled Rebuilding America's Defenses describes a vision of future warfare very different than the warfare of today. It is continually referred to as a "revolution in military affairs." This revolution is really more of a progression from dropping bombs and dominating foreign countries to bringing the terror back home to the West.
Network of Control
From Rebuilding America's Defenses:
"New classes of sensors – commercial and military; on land, on and under sea, in the air and in space – will be linked together in dense networks that can be rapidly configured and reconfigured to provide future commanders with an unprecedented understanding of the battlefield." - pg 59
Where is the battlefield? How about an urban war zone in the homeland?

PNAC Revisited: Road Map to Iraq
10 September 2007
We are quickly approaching the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and I thought we should revisit an important document from the Project for a New American Century entitled Rebuilding America's Defences.
The project for a New American Century (PNAC) was founded in 1997 with many members that later became the nucleus of the George W. Bush administration. The list includes: Jeb Bush, Dick Cheney, I. Lewis Libby, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz among many other powerful but less well know names. Their stated purpose was to use a hugely expanded U.S. military to project "American global leadership." In September of 2000, PNAC published a now infamous document entitled Rebuilding America's Defences. Below is a summary in their own words.
Axis of Evil
"While adversaries like Iran, Iraq and North Korea are rushing to develop ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons as a deterrent to American intervention in regions they seek to dominate." - pg 4

Earth + SUVs = Venus. What?
6 September 2007
Could the earth really turn into a scorching hot planet like Venus with surface temperatures around 460 degrees Celsius (860 degrees Fahrenheit)? Is it possible that our greedy burning of fossil fuels could be the trigger? Normally, such absurd questions are not worth the effort to answer, but this leads to the heart of current global warming alarmism; the runaway greenhouse effect.
So, is our fate the same as that of Venus? Before the Live Earth concert, climate crusader Al Gore wrote an article (or advertisement for his concert) for the New York Times in which he stated:
"Consider this tale of two planets. Earth and Venus are almost exactly the same size, and have almost exactly the same amount of carbon. The difference is that most of the carbon on Earth is in the ground — having been deposited there by various forms of life over the last 600 million years — and most of the carbon on Venus is in the atmosphere."
"As a result, while the average temperature on Earth is a pleasant 59 degrees, the average temperature on Venus is 867 degrees. True, Venus is closer to the Sun than we are, but the fault is not in our star; Venus is three times hotter on average than Mercury, which is right next to the Sun. It’s the carbon dioxide."
These two simple (minded) paragraphs are actually very interesting because of the logic flow used, but for the purposes of this article we will just look at the major thrust of Mr. Gore’s argument. The major difference between the earth and Venus is the carbon content in the atmosphere and that if we are not careful we could end up like Venus.

KDR: Changing Focus
5 September 2007
When I originally started Knowledge Driven Revolution.com it was shortly after I had “woken up”. And under the naïve idea that all other people needed to wake up was what I needed. Just the right piece of information to kick start the process.
The other reason for the website was to help organize my thoughts in such a manner that it was easy to share them with others. This will still be the focus of the website to some extent but it will no longer be a daily news type website.
I have come to view daily ‘news’ websites very differently over the years as I have grown. They tend to become a daily blow-by-blow of how badly we are getting raped by this system that lords over us. Don’t get me wrong, it is important to know what is happening in the world, but it is too easy to loose site of the bigger picture, or for that matter never get to see the bigger picture. There is also a strong fear and anxiety that is presented (intentionally or not) through this format.
